Meet little August. The little guy with the biggest sparkle in his eyes I have ever seen. When his Mom contacted me to photograph him for his first birthday pictures, i was absolutely thrilled.
I am always hesitant to do baby portraits at this time of year, because it is just too brisk to take a baby out. And sure enough, the snow was falling sideways when we were shooting. Luckily, August’s mom has great taste, and the colors in the house are clean and light, and on top of it she had this fabulous sheepskin rug that we utilized. August loved the feel and touch and couldn’t stop smiling as soon as his little body touched the soft fur. There are more images to come, but for today I wanted to brighten everyone’s Sunday with this cheerful collage.

I think they’re all great shots, but for some reason #7 (bottom row, left) is my favorite.
